High School Graduation Requirements

Students in the classes of 2013 and Beyond need 24 credits to earn their diploma. Credits must be earned in accordance with to the following subject area breakdowns:

Credit Breakdown

(Classes of 2016 - 2018)

English = 4 credits
Mathematics = 3 credits (Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II)
Science = 3 credits (Physical Science and Biology to Graduate)
Social Studies = 3 credits (US History and World History to Graduate)
Physical Education = 1.5 credits
Health = 0.5 credits
Financial Literacy/Career Choices = 1.0 credits  (.50 of Each)
Electives = 6 credits 
Reading = 2 credits 
  

Freshman = 0 - 5.75
Sophomore = 6 - 11.75 credits
Junior = 12 - 17.75 credits
Senior = 18 - 24 credits

English (4)  + Reading (2) = 6 credits
Mathematics = 3 credits (Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II)
Science = 3 credits (Physical Science and Biology to Graduate)
Social Studies = 3 credits (US History and World History to Graduate)
Core Elective = 1 credit (Choice of Expanded Study: Social Studies, Math, English or Science)
Physical Education = 1.5 credits
Health = 0.5 credits
Financial Literacy/Career Choices = 1.0 credits (50 of Each)
Freshman Seminar = 0.5 credits
Electives = 6.5 credits
Elective Flex = 2 credits (Personal Learning Plans and Service Learning) 
 

Freshman = 0 - 6.75 credits
Sophomore = 7 - 13.75 credits
Junior = 14 - 20.75 credits
Senior = 21 - 28 credits

Students who fail to meet annual credit expectations may be required to attend summer school to make up the deficit.
